Waffle Combo with one egg and sausage was good. No less than 2 large groups were meeting there a bit after noon. Owners came to one of the group's table to thank them for coming. That was nice.
This place has been around a long time, and they do not disappoint. My hubby and I came for the All You Can Eat Catfish, pinto beans ,cold slaw, and fries and don't forget the Shut up Dogs ( my mother in law calls hush puppies )🤣 The service was great our server was Paiton and she was on point as everyone that works here. Thank Ya'll for great service and food. 😋
Ordered pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese. The pancakes were filling. The waitress was really nice. And said she just started a few days ago. They don't have corned beef hash on the menu anymore and she didn't know why.
I went for the first time today, the service was fast and friendly We ordered the Cinnamon twist French toast, San Antonio Skillet and a breakfast combo. Food was good, home made style. Prices were reasonable, 2 people can eat for less than $30.
The food selection is good. Lots to choose from. The staff was friendly and took care of our drinks and needs. It’s a nice size dining room. Has that old time Diner and Cafe feel. I had breakfast with my family. I had the Country Skillet- Chicken Fried Steak, Scrambled Eggs, and Home Fries topped with Gravy and two biscuits. My daughter had The Trash Can Omelet - Combine the Meat Lovers - Bacon, Ham, Sausage and the Veggie - Bell Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives and Tomatoes with Cheese and Jalapeños. Side of Salsa and Sour Cream and Grits My Middle Grandson had The Strawberry Pancakes Combo - served with one Egg, two Sausage Links, and 2 Strawberry Pancakes. My youngest Grandson had the Pancakes Combo - served with one Egg, one Sausage, and 2 Pancakes. All the food was served fresh and hot. We also had coffee that was good. I’ll have to come back and try more of their menu. It seemed a little on the expensive side. But it was really good.
I go with my youngest granddaughter Tanna every Thursday, after the change of ownership you can most certainly tell a totally different vibe as soon as you walk in, very friendly and family oriented and the service and food were both exceptional and I really appreciated the fact that Ashley (her and her husband are the new ownership) personally came by the table to introduce herself and have a nice sincere conversation for a minute. Great environment, great food and great atmosphere how can you beat that? I highly recommend this fresh, clean restaurant for anyone that would like to grab a bite and enjoy a relaxing friendly atmosphere. Thanks guys and we'll see you Thursday morning ✌️❤️
Been a while since I have been here. Different management, staff, and decor. Definitely nice atmosphere and staff was friendly. It was clean and the food was pretty good. We had an issue with one of the meals but the manager took care of it immediately. Stop in and try it.
Been coming here forever. Maybe the early 2000’s. They did a refresh to the dining room that looks lovely. Still great food and an awesome staff that loves to chat and laugh. Best place to eat in Harker Heights, TX. Reminds me of my hometown.
Excellent food, excellent vibes, and great prices. My husband and I tried this place a year ago and thought we would never come back because the food was so bland. We saw it was under new ownership and decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did! Everyone was so welcoming. The menu was simple and straightforward with all the breakfast favorites. My husband got the pecan pancakes and I got the breakfast skillet with chicken fried steak. Both were great. We will absolutely be coming back!
Sunday, 21 June (Fathers day) about 11:30 am - very busy, took a while to order and get our food, which was expected for this day, so we had lots of patience. You walk in, it’s not very big but cozy and friendly staff. You seat yourself (if u can find an empty table 😊 or get on a wait list at the counter. We didn’t wait long as another family shared their long table with us (3). Our waiter was Ryan, very nice gentleman, he kept apologizing but it wasn’t his fault they was so busy, it happens, we expected it. But we enjoyed having him as our waiter. And omg the food was absolutely amazing. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Next time I’m getting the catfish. I can’t believe he said this place been here 30 years and I live in Killeen and this was my first time coming here. Lil hidden gem. Thanks.
